GAME FLOW
Strategy Phase
At the beginning of each turn your Aide will let you know how your weapon development is going, as well as any special options that have become available.
Things to do in the strategy phase.
- allocate money for spying
- allocate money for tech development
- spend money to start weapon development (or to speed it along)
- buy replacements for any weakened units
- assign or remove pilots
- allocate money for special projects (e.g. invasions of bases)
- give or ask for favors on the diplomatic menu
- alternate unit weapons (e.g. equip a zaku unit with bazookas instead of machine guns. Note: you can do this in tactical battles but only when the unit is inside of a carrying unit.)
- move units onto or off of carrying units. (e.g. loading land based units onto a sub for an amphibious invasion)
- Give movement orders to units. They will start moving in the action phase. You have to be adjacent to an enemy area in order to invade it.
- Choose end turn when you are finished
Action Phase
Units will start moving and when two factions occupy the same area, a battle will begin. The battle will last until one side is gone from the area, (eliminated or moved off the map), or if five turns have elapsed, the battle will stop and continue on in the next turn. Also if you are attacking an area, you can win by taking all of the base hexes. More on tactical battles on this page.
Repeat until you've won. Then start a new game with another faction. Repeat several times.
