I decided to refocus the Oktoberfest Gundam by changing it's name to the Alpen Gundam and making it a mountain climber. I dropped the beam steins and gave it spiked feet and one of those mountain climbing picks as a hand weapon. The design itself was becoming more refined and I was excited at some of the details I came up with. The Alpen's suspenders became reminicent of the Zaku's conducting cables and the Alpen's "pants" took cues from the Gouf's skirt. I started designing a pilot as you can see below. He wouldn't be a typical fighter, but a sort of old-world intellectual type. I figured the Alpen would try to stay up in the mountains and lure fighters into battles on high mountain slopes.

I was designing this one and the Matryoshka at the same time, but the due date was coming up and I had to pick one or the other to finish. I really like this one and I think it would have done well. However, it wasn't the strongest concept and I felt I had to go with the Matryoshka.
