Neo-Russia / Matryoshka Gundam

Now at this point I only had a week left before the due date, so I really had to get to work. I decided to keep it simple, just translate the stacking dolls into robots which could retract their arms and legs. I made sure to change the details on each one, not just make three clones at different sizes. For the decorations on the front, I consulted a book on Russian folk art. I thought about doing an iconic Gundam head in the center (see drawing below) but quickly gave it up. I ran out of time and didn't get to prepare as much material as I wanted. I was going to include something on the pilot, a Russian peasant girl and do some action shots.

I am really happy with the Matryoshka idea and the way it turned out. I think it would fit in just fine with the other designs for G-Gundam yet is distinctive enough to hold it's own against the most absurd designs like the Mandala Gundam. I guess it turned out okay.
