My great x3 grandfather was Absolem Boren lived in Lawerenceburg,
Tn. had a son Rufus N.who had son(s)Elco that lived in Mart,Tx and worked on the railroad. Elco had a sister named Sally that lived in Mart,Tx.
Elco moved to Tocopola, Ms. later where Rufus had a store. My dad was Herman W., Dad had cousins in Mart,Tx. one postmaster named Laren and had uncles around Bridgeport and Cleburn Tx. One was named James.
Also, Wille that drown in his teens and is buried in Oklhoma around Wister or Poteau. Also,Laren's brother was killed in a car accident around the early 50's and is buried in a cemetery in Mart,Tx.

Does anyone have any information of this group of Borens?

I have been toying with the idea of adding a boren family geneology section, where people can add little bits about various borens and maybe build a collective geneology from the information that people provide. Unfortunatly I have been busy with thomas and closing on a house, so I haven't had the opportunity to do it. Do you think that would be of interest to the boren site viewers?

I am the son of Ira Earl Boren of Herrin, Illinois (1925 - 1982) and Rita Boren. My father had three brothers and one sister. Benjamin Boren, Barney Boren and another brother whose name I do not know as he died before I was born and seldom mentioned and a sister Grace Boren. All were born in Herrin, Illinois. I have two brothers and one sister. Michael Boren (Born 1950), Mark Boren (Born 1953), and Catherine Boren (Born 1957). Michael Boren resides in Chicago, Illinois with his wife Barbara. They have two sons Kevin Boren and Michael Boren who also reside in Chicago. I also have two sons Jeffery Boren (born 1976) and Christoper Boren (born 1979. Benjamin Boren also had two sons: Robert Boren and Benjamin D. Boren. Robert Boren had one daughter Denise Boren. Benjamin D. Boren also has two sons.

My Grandmother ( Father's Mother ) was a Boren, here is all I have. Please check and see if any ring a bell, I show 2 Rufus N. Boren's. One was the son of Louis Absolum Boren and the other was the son of Rufus N. Boren. thanks for writing, it would be interesting to find out where borens are internationally. I have found that we are all over the place. In fact there is a Lake Boren in Sweden that we had visited in '97. There is also a little town called borensburg next to it. I will see if we can add a boren locator.

James Calvin Boren born October 19, 1833 and died January 10, 1912. He is buried in The Madden Cemetery near Iberia, Miller County, Missouri. He married Martha Catherine Setzer on November 26, 1857in Macon County, North Carolina. She was born March 13, 1843 in Macon County, North Carolina and died August 12, 1940 in Miller County, Missouri. She is buried with James Boren in The Madden Cemetery near Iberia, Miller County, Missouri.

James Calvin Bourne/Boren was from Washington, Tennessee. He died January 10, 1912 in Pulaski County and is buried in the Madden Cemetery. One of his sons was Charley Winfield Boren September 27, 1880 was married to Minnie California Wall. Charley and Minnie are both buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Another son was James Hiter Boren who married Zelphia Ellen McDowell. I wonder if anyone knows where James Hiter Boren is buried. I have it down that he died in Hawkeye, Missouri.
